Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas well-known as Ashanti. Ashanti was birthed 13 October 1980, on the shores of Glen Cove New York United States. She's an actress and singer from the United States. Her talent was first noticed when she was a teenager. She signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti appeared the same day in Fat Joe's What's Luv? The song "What's the Love?" by Fat Joe and Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time was a huge hit for both of them. The first ever female to reach the Billboard Hot 100's highest two spots across the United States, with Foolish first and What's Luv? What's Luv? She continued to perform at New York, and she began to hang around the Murder Inc. studios hoping to get a break. Ashanti appeared originally on the track by Big Pun called"How We Roll, as a back singer. She was also featured on Fat Joe's single What's Luv? Ja Rule's Always On Time and Fat Joe's Where is Love. The sample used in her first single Foolish comes from DeBarge's Stay with Me which was released in 1983. Ashanti's first self-titled album, released on The album by Irv's Murder Inc. in 2002 was Ashanti. The Declaration the fourth studio album was released on June 3 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released both on radio and digital formats) came out October 16 on the 16th of October, 2008. She starred in the film Christmas in the City and played Latasha Montclair on Army Wives. Aitch was seen wearing in her Rock wit U sample in Baby on the 10th of March, 2022.
